7 Months

Zoey Baby I can't believe you are 7 months old today. Where has the time gone?! I feel like it was only yesterday we were bringing all 5 pounds of your home. You have been such a joy to have around. We all love and adore you so very much. 

• At 7 months you...
• You weigh 16.5 lbs.
• You are 26.5 inches long
• You wear a size 2 diaper
• You are fitting into your 3-6 month clothes now unless there is elastic around the legs!! :) Then we need a 6-9mo!
• You sit up very well and rarely fall over anymore.
• You are trying so hard to crawl. You can get up on all fours but can't really figure out how to do it yet. You scoot and roll all over the floor though!
• You are a great eater! You have moved up to the 2nd foods now. The only things you haven't really cared for are mangos and yogurt. 
• You love watching Rilan play and you laugh and laugh when he talks to you. Its one of the sweetest things ever!
• We went on our first vacation as a family of 4 to Sea World in San Antonio this past weekend. You were such a trooper!
• You are getting much better about a nap schedule and you are ready for bed at 8:30 nightly! You sleep all through the night and wake up between 7-8. 

I can't believe how much you have changed over the last 6 months! We love you sweet girl!!

New Design

I had a digital scrapbook kit I have been wanting to use so I though I would give the blog a bit of a makeover! I think I'm ready for fall weather with all the warmer colors I used! I'm so tired of the heat! It's hard trying to let Rilan get all of his energy out and keep him indoors since its way way too hot for Zoey out. I'm ready to be able to have them both outside and enjoy it rather than melting! 

Rilan starts soccer here pretty soon and I am praying for nice weather. Last year we got lucky, it was never too hot or too cold! Hopefully Zoey will enjoy watching him and his friends run around like crazy kicking a ball!

Play Group

We went to play group for the first time today! I was soo stressed last night about it. Worried about what people would think about me, worried about how Rilan would act....ect! 

I wish I hadn't worried so much, we had a great time! Rilan did so good considering how hard headed he can be! :) Zoey didn't even make a peep the whole time. I just held her or sat her on the floor and she was happy as can be.

We had a great time today and looking forward to the next time we get to get together with these ladies and kiddos.

I'd better get back to blogging....

I feel like we have been super busy but thinking back we haven't really been doing much! Guess I'm just trying to keep myself busy making clothes and bows. I'm having such a good time designing stuff for Zoey and a few friends here and there. Even though I don't get nearly enough time to do it I enjoy what time I do have.

We spent one whole week a few weeks ago sick sick. Rilan was running 104 fever for about 7 days. Just when he was starting to feel better I came down with a horrible stomach bug and was running a fever. It only lasted 24 hours but just as I was feeling better Dax got it. My Mom had come up to help us out so we could make sure Rilan didn't give anything to Zoey and somehow Mom and Zoey managed to not get sick!! Soo thankful!

We are all feeling great now and have been trying to stay indoors and keep cool. This has been a RIDICULOUSLY hot summer here in North Texas!! I'm defiantly ready for winter! I don't ever mind the snow especially when we are having weather like this!

Some photos of Zoey and Rilan at her 6 month well check.She checked out healthy and was 15 pounds(22nd percentile) and 25 1/4 inches long(22nd percentile) and her head circumference was 16 3/4(44th percentile). She only had to have 1 shot and she didn't even cry!! I hate having to take Rilan with me to her appointments because it really bothers him to have to watch her get a shot. The last 2 times he has gone and sat in a chair that is right outside the door. He doesn't like seeing his sister get a "boo boo." After I looked up her percentiles I looked up Rilan's. He weights 32 pounds and is in the 3rd percentile! But he is in the 64th percentile for height! Tall and skinny!

Friday we had to run a few errands and it was scortching outside so before we went to get doggy food we stopped in Marble Slab for a cool treat.

 

We went to eat at Chili's Saturday and no one was there so we snapped a few photos of us!

I never get photos of me, mostly because I really really dislike the way I look but I thought I'd better have a few before I was really bummed I didn't have any of Zoey and I while she is still a baby.

 

Hope you all have a good week. We are going to enjoy this week and then Rilan is going to go stay with grandparents for a week the following week. I'm going to miss him so much but I know he will have a blast and probably not even realize he is away from his Mommy, Daddy, and Sissy.
